Hi, my name is Samantha Bowen, and I’m the owner of Central Bark. Having worked in the IT industry for many years, I was looking for something new which would allow me to spend more time with my dogs, Bella, my Yorkshire Terrier and Bear, my Labrador x Husky. I love dogs so I thought what better way to spend my day than looking after them? So, I quit my job and setup Central Bark.
At Central Bark we provide loving care for your dog when you are not there. We take them on fabulous walks, provide care during the daytime while you are out, even sleepovers when you go away.
As dog owners and animal lovers, we know how it feels to leave your best friend with someone else – it’s not easy. With the love, care, attention and exercise we provide, you can be sure your dog will be happy while you are gone.
At Central Bark we will care for your dog like it’s our own. We are fully insured and CRB/DBS checked. So, if you need any assistance caring for your four-legged friend, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Walking
Doggy Day Care

Need help with walking? Ad-hoc or regularly we can collect your dog, take them for a walk somewhere safe and suitable and return them happy and much more settled after having the exercise they need.
Not home during the day? Don’t worry, we offer various types of care during the day: daycare in our own home and/or home visits. Daycare includes a walk and you can add a walk onto a home visit. At Central Bark your dog will have the opportunity to play and socialize with other dogs. As a result, your dog will be more comfortable around other dogs and will help eliminate “boredom behaviour” such as chewing and barking. After a day at Central Bark, most dogs are happy to settle in and snooze through the night.
Don’t like the idea of boarding kennels? Neither do we! We offer various types of overnight care: sleepovers in our home and/or pet sitting at yours. Your doggy will miss you while you are gone but will still get the love and care he needs We prefer that dogs coming for sleepovers attend daycare a couple times prior to the overnight stay. This allows your dog to become comfortable with the environment. When dogs come for a ‘sleep over’, their day is much the same as our daycare dogs.
